This pattern has caught thousands of trout since Vern created it in 1999.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Materials<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><em>Hook \u2013 size 10-12 Wet fly<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><em>Thread \u2013 Black 8\/0<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><em>Bead \u2013 3mm copper bead, coloured chartreuse.<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><em>Tail \u2013 Black Marabou.<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><em>Body \u2013 Black\/emerald Sparkle Dubbing. (If you can\u2019t find this, substitute No 46 Spectra Dubbing and black rabbit fur, blended in equal proportions.)<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><em>Collar \u2013 Black hen hackle.<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Tying Instructions<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Place the bead on the hook.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Tie in a clump of black Marabou for the tail.
