Club Event Organiser Role
Each CAA club event has a nominated organiser. Their role is fundamentally to co-ordinate the conduct of the club event
in such a way as to simplify attendance by members. Tasks are not onerous but can be summarised as:
Act as the single point of contact for information about the conduct of the club event to advise members - information such as
where, when, type of fishing, accommodation options.
Receive notification from members of their attendance
In the case of overnight club events, determine accommodations needs and liaise with accommodation providers
Assist co-ordination of transport - act as go-between for members who may require assistance with transport,
attempt to minimise the number of vehicles being used
For coast club event, canvas attending members to identify winner of saltwater trophy
Encourage attending members to submit photos to newsletter editor; submit a short report on the conduct of the
club event and results
