Another ‘series of trips’ book, but more philosophical than most. If you like Leeson’s book, this is similar. Mostly US fishing with the odd international trip.

I’m just about finished The Longest Silence – and agree it’s in the literary realm of quality writing that makes every local waters and on water challenges story extremely relatable because of his evocative but not hard to digest writings. He is also clearly well connected outdoorsman from Montana, as he fishes with Yvon Chounard (founder of Patagonia Brand) in Patagonia for 18-25lb Brown trout. Definitely makes you want dream of that holiday.
