Fishing is a Permitted Activity under Coronavirus Restrictions in NSW

This is great news, though clearly even the NSW Police Minister doesn’t understand how active fishing can be, must be a bait angler 😉

The ABC report refers explicitly to NSW. Not sure about ACT, but local government has expressed a number of times that ACT will generally align with NSW

Mike. Good point. The ABC report refers explicitly to NSW. I’ll make it clearer. Not sure about ACT, but local government has expressed a number of times that ACT will generally align with NSW

Mike. In what way? Seems there was some confusion whether fishing was seen as an approved outdoor activity. NSW Police Minister made a clarifying press release on Wednesday it seems. I’ll email a copy to you.

Am still pursuing the question of fishing in ACT with my Assembly Member Tara Cheyne. That said, Lake Ginninderra has Lake Closed signs showing. The City Services web site didn’t show that when I checked yesterday.
